Free Ruby 5 podcast coming up.
Starting on June 30th. We've found the original illustrations we were offering with our Apple QuickTime 3.0 product launch that we did with Ruby 5 when we webcast it ten years ago. If you have an MP3 player which supports album art you will be able to see a different illustration with each episode. Enjoy!http://www.zbs.org/catalog/podcast.php

ZBS Foundation: Zeeber Gold
From the copy on the web site:
These are nuggets from our archives. We were a radio commune back in the early days of ZBS. The video artist, Bill Viola, used to refer to us as The Zeebers. We produced and distributed programs for community, college and public radio stations. ZBS was originally founded with the idea of using media to raise consciousness. These radio programs reflect that philosophy. Very little has dated, their nourishing essence still shines forth.
You’ll find interviews with Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead, Marc Bolan of T. Rex, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Joseph Campbell, Sun Ra, Yoko Ono, Stan Lee of Marvel Comics, Ken Kesey, Paul Bowles, Abbie Hoffman, Mel Blanc of Bugs Bunny & Porky Pig, Chogyam Trunpa Rinpoche, Humphrey Osmond who coined the word “psychedelic,” and lots more. We’ve uncovered 25 programs so far. A rare find is Meatball Fulton’s never-before-aired interview with Syd Barrett of the Pink Floyd. Shiny nuggets indeed. Zeeber Gold!

New ZBS Downloads
I've just posted a new podcast for Meatball's Meatballs.
From the e-newletter we just sent out:
Meatball's Meatballs, Podcast #5
The Making of MOON OVER MOROCCO
Meatball Fulton tells how he recorded sounds in Tangier and Marrakech and later wrote the script for Moon Over Morocco. "I wrote scenes to take place in the environments I had recorded ... the sounds then became as important as the plot and the characters," he said. Meatball plays examples of scenes and he explains how the sounds of Morocco not only stimulated his ideas for the story, but also became such an integral part of the 10 hour series. This is a very sound-rich podcast.
Give a listen.http://www.zbs.org/catalog/podcast.php

Woot and Wah!
Congrats on a good grade on your pysch midterm! *applauds* Sounds like you've managed to keep a good focus on the studies, and that's wonderful. At this rate, you may accidentally survive college. Hey, it could
And boo hiss on not feeling well. *snuggles* Hopefully you can get some rest and healing now that you've gotten through at least this hurdle? Hmm. I think I shall send this elf
over to kick the ass of whatever's bugging your innards. *g* Current Mood: hopeful

For various reasons, and due to a smattering of thought-concepts that have wandered through my mind today... nice older memories, bits of songs that have come through my playlist on my computer, a thunderstorm going outside, saw a field fulla sheep on the drive to work, a handful of other snippets that make no sense each and of themselves, but the cumulative effect is there. Anyway. Lotta stuff made me just want to say I hope school's going okay, hope you're doing okay, hope some summer plans are coming together for you, and just that I miss ya now and then. Nice to see your muses letting you write, and I've been enjoying your story as you post it too.
And that's all! Go, shoo, study or something. ;) Current Mood: weird

I think I saw them crawl back in your third floor window, leave some wildflowers on your pillow, a casserole on your desk, and some jasmine tea steeping on the windowsill.
Then they tied my shoelaces together, laughed and vanished around the corner. I think I heard something about a lake and skinnydipping.
*nods* But they looked happy. <3 Current Mood: Amused

Randomness that = you
I stumbled across my PSI Corp card today and thought of you. Wasn't wearing black leather gloves, though. But I know where they are.
I listened to your words last night, and let them override my own common sense today. ;) enjoy. Cause that's going to happen daily now. I trust you to leave it be when you need to or fly with it when you are able. I still feel shakey about instigating when you are so insanely burdened... but I get it.
I wrote of rebellious raindrops this morning, while still very sleepy. That is such fun, writing with a fuzzy brain. And I wrote the pacific northwest, and I think one raindrop escaped my story and veered to spash on your cheek. Sorry. ;) Well, not.
Now the real world calls me. I'll go placate it for a while, and will return about midnightish. And if I see them, they will know we are here.

Just a little something to help you weather the troll storm, and a treat to roast over the flames.

Today I found the edge of the sky, and I wondered where you were.
Today I walked through a sea of fallen leaves, their frail limbs warped like heated glass, and I wondered where you were.
Today I peered through a foggy pale copper screen, watching the wind brush the Earth's grassy hair as it blew my hair into my face, and I wondered where you were.
Today I felt a phantom hand on my shoulder; I smelled the perfume of Lorien, heard hoofbeats echoing in the empty corridors, and tasted wine on the wind, and I wondered where you were.
Today I found the right way home. It's always been as straight as straight can be. The street never curves or bends. But today, I heard the woods call out to me. So I crossed the busy street, beat my feet across the wide field beside the temple, and scooted down in an old tire track to where the creek is swallowed up into a sewer. I followed deer tracks in the mud and scrambled onto a log. There I stood, and not knowing who had called me, I sang into the empty wind. And though I had come in silence to the dead autumn, the world erupted into birdsong when my own voice was stilled, and the wind played the trees, and I wondered where you were.
Today I wondered. Current Mood: peaceful

Cryptic, But Not Bad Cryptic.... Nice Cryptic, Just Because
There are some people well worth bending heaven and hell for. Worth the pain and of course worth the laughter. Worth the effort. Worth it all.
Worth summoning rain on request for. *nod* I will spend the day trying to make a gentle rain fall from the skies, if I can. Current Mood: Looking For A Way
